I'm happy I got 6 confirmations of the programs for the latin youth in Chicago. The series of interviews with the cordinators starts the next May 5th. But not only flowers in this path. One of them (visit not confirmed) asked me for a background check and a drug scanning. Since I'm a foreigner, I don't think I can provide this kind of information before June 2th, the day I leave the US. Let's hope for his goodwill, otherwise I'll acquiescently move to another direction.
By the way, the event Spring Into Action @ Schuba's was a great opportunity for me to know better the Cabrini Connections staff and also the volunteers. This people work good and know also how to party!

P.S.: check your brain movie database and let me know if you remember any foreign title focusing children and poverty, particularly if it brings a message of overcoming adverse situations. We are about to create a movie club at Cabrini Connections and would love to hear your sugestions!
